This site sets no cookies at all unless you accept analytics. Below is the complete list of what can be stored, and when.
If you do nothing
Load a page here, read it, and leave without touching the consent banner, and no cookie is set. The Google Analytics script is not downloaded. Nothing is written to local storage either, unless you use the theme toggle. This is not a claim about intent, it is how the site is built: Consent Mode denies every storage category by default and the analytics script tag is only injected after you press Accept.
Storage this site writes itself
These two are browser local storage entries, not cookies. They are never transmitted with a request and no server ever sees them.

Cookies set only after you accept
Pressing Accept loads Google Analytics 4, which sets the following. Pressing Decline sets none of them, because the script is never fetched.

Google may process the data these cookies generate outside India, including in the United States. Its handling is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Advertising cookies
None. There is no advertising on this site at present and no advertising network code is loaded on any page. If advertising is added later, this page will list the cookies involved before the ad code goes live, and those cookies will be gated behind the same consent banner.
What is deliberately absent
- No social media pixels, share buttons or embedded posts.
- No embedded video players.
- No third-party fonts. All three faces used here are served from this domain.
- No tag manager, heatmap tool, session recorder or A/B testing script.
- No advertising network at this time.
Every request a page here makes goes to this domain, with the single exception of Google Analytics after you have accepted it. You can confirm that in your browser's network inspector, which is a better check than taking this page's word for it.
Changing your mind
Clear this site's data in your browser. That removes the theme preference, the consent decision and any analytics cookies, and the consent banner will appear again on your next visit. In Safari this is Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data. In Chrome it is under Privacy and security, Third-party cookies, See all site data and permissions.
You can also block cookies for this domain entirely. Nothing on this site depends on them, and every article remains fully readable.

Why the banner appears at all
A site that sets no cookies before consent does not strictly need to interrupt you, and it would be entirely possible to run this site with cookieless analytics and no banner. We chose Google Analytics instead, which does set cookies, so the banner is the honest consequence of that decision rather than a legal formality bolted on afterwards.
It is deliberately built so that declining costs you nothing. The banner is positioned outside the document flow, so it never pushes content around while you are reading and it contributes nothing to layout shift. Declining is a single click, the same size and in the same place as accepting, and the choice is remembered so you are not asked again on every page. There is no second prompt, no dimmed overlay, and no version of this site that withholds an article until you agree to something.
Verifying any of this yourself
Everything on this page is checkable in about a minute, and checking it is better than trusting it. Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and reload a page here before touching the banner. Every request should go to this domain: the HTML, the stylesheet, three font files, and nothing else. Then look under Storage for cookies on this origin, and there should be none.
Accept the banner and reload, and you will see one additional request to googletagmanager.com and the two Google Analytics cookies appear. That difference, present or absent depending entirely on your choice, is the whole of what this page describes.
